About Ponderosa Leisure Farms
HISTORY
Ponderosa Leisure Farms Village (PLFV) saw its beginnings in 1975, when the late Maria Luisa Perez-Rubio, a renowned horticulturist in the country, acquired through Ponderosa Farms, Inc. (PFI), 71.2 hectares in Silang, Cavite. The property, with its gently rolling hills, high altitude, cool temperature, and fertile soil was ideal for cut-flower farming, especially roses.

In October 2003, PFI partnered with Landco Pacific Corporation (LPC), a leading real estate company, to develop the property (in 3 phases) into a premiere leisure farming and garden residential community that integrates rustic Spanish-Mexican themed vacation homes with resort-type amenities.

Subsequent land acquisitions by the developers resulted in PLFV increasing to 73 hectares by 2006. It was also in 2006 when the Ponderosa Leisure Farms Village Homeowners Association, Inc. (PLFVHAI) was formed.
As of 2023, total land area is 77 hectares.
LOCATION AND TOPOGRAPHY
The property spans three barangays of Silang (Pasong Langka, Ulat, and Pulong Bunga) and is located along the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, 15 minutes up the hill from Nuvali, 500 meters from Angelfields Nature Preserve, and about 5 to 10 kms. near markets, hospitals, and schools/universities.
The Village is about 7.1 kms away from the Tagaytay Rotunda, easily accessible via Tagaytay proper or from the Sta. Rosa/CALAX exit of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

With its fertile soil, abundant water sources, mild and cool weather, and natural topography, PLFV is a haven to both flora and fauna.
